Austrian Ornithological Centre

I studied zoology at the University of Vienna with a focus on animal cognition. In my diploma thesis at the Department of Cognitive Biology I investigated learning capacities and memory retention in the fire salamander (Salamandra salamandra).

In 2012 I started working at the Konrad Lorenz Institute of Ethology as a technical assistant and since 2016 I am a member of the Austrian Ornithological Centre where I could deepen my knowledge of ornithology and bird ringing.

Besides many administrative and organisational tasks I am mainly involved in the ringing centre“s services like support and training of Austrian bird ringers and validation and correction of ringing data.
